1. INTRODUCTION

We are The JJ Club Group Ltd, doing business as The JJ Club. These are our Terms and Conditions of Use (‘Terms’). Together with the other documents we refer to, we set out here the Terms and Conditions under which you may use this website (http://www.thejjclub.co.uk (‘Our Site’)), become a member and access our Services (the “Terms”).  We may alter these Terms at any time. Any such changes will become binding on you upon your first use of Our Site after the changes have been implemented. We recommend you check this page from time to time and that you print a copy of these Terms for your records.

 

Please read these Terms carefully and ensure that you understand them before using Our Site. Your agreement to comply with and be bound by these Terms is deemed to occur upon your first use of Our Site. If you do not agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms, you must stop using Our Site immediately.

3. DEFINITIONS 

In these Terms, we use the following expressions:

 

‘Account’means an account required for a User to access and/or use certain areas of Our Site, as detailed below in Accounts.
‘Content’means any and all text, images, audio, video, scripts, code, software, databases and any other form of information capable of being stored on a computer that appears on, or forms part of, Our Site.
“Services”means those services, as further described in Clause 10 below, as available from time to time on Our Site.
‘User’means a member who uses Our Site.
‘User Contribution’means any Content submitted to Our Site by members 
“We/Us/Our”means The JJ Club Group Limited, a company registered in England under company number 12884184, with address 10-12 Mulberry Green, Harlow, Essex, United Kingdom, CM17 0ET and trading as The JJ Club.

 

4. ACCESS TO OUR SITE

It is your responsibility to make any and all arrangements necessary in order to access Our Site.

Access to Our Site is provided “as is” and on an “as available” basis. We may alter, suspend, or discontinue Our Site (or any part of it) at any time and without notice. We will not be liable to you in any way if Our Site (or any part of it) is unavailable at any time and for any period.

 

Our Site is intended for Users in the United Kingdom only. We do not warrant or represent that Our Site or its Content are available in other locations or are suitable for use in other locations.

 

5. MEMBERSHIP

The JJ Club's Digital Private Members Club provides fabulous membership perks across events, exclusive offers, experts, and insider recommendations. 

 

Members can benefit in four areas: 

 

  • Perks & Offers: With our Friends with Benefits, you can unlock exclusive offers on beloved local Southwest London brands and discover new ones.
  • Exclusive Events: Our curated Events & Connections, enable members to access in-person and online events designed to connect, create, and calm.
  • Local Experts and Services: Access to the coveted Little Black Book of local experts and services.
  • Insider Edits: Benefit from handpicked recommendations and insights, keeping you ahead of the trends.

 

To become a member of The JJ Club's Virtual Private Members Club and to gain access to certain sections of Our Site, you will need to complete an application for membership. If We accept your application, We will require you to create an Account and pay a Subscription Fee. Your membership commences once you have successfully opened your Account and We receive payment from you of your Subscription Fee.

 

6. ACCOUNTS

If you wish to access Our Site, use Our services, including making a purchase via Our Site, you’ll need to create an Account.

 

If you are under 18 years of age and wish to use the parts of Our Site that require an Account, your parent or guardian should create the Account for you, and you must only use the Account with their supervision.

 

When creating an Account, the information you provide must be accurate and complete. If any of your information changes at a later date, it is your responsibility to ensure that your Account is kept up to date. You can do this at any time in your Account by accessing “My Membership.”

 

We recommend that you choose a strong password for your Account. It is your responsibility to keep your password safe. If you believe your Account is being used without your permission, please contact Us immediately at hello@thejj.club.   We will not be liable for any unauthorised use of your Account.

 

You must not use anyone else’s Account.

 

Any personal information provided in your Account will be collected, used, and held in accordance with your rights and Our obligations under law, as set out in paragraph 20 below.

 

If you wish to close your Account, you may do so at any time. Closing your Account will result in the removal of your information. Closing your Account will also remove access to any areas of Our Site requiring an Account for access. For information about what happens to your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

 

If you close your Account, any User Contributions such as Content, reviews, comments etc. you have created on Our Site will be anonymised by removing your username. 

 

7. MEMBERSHIP FEE

Our Site will guide you through the process of paying a Subscription Fee for your membership. Before completing your purchase, you will be given the opportunity to review your order and amend it. Please ensure that you have checked your order carefully before submitting it.

 

Your request for membership and to pay the Subscription Fee constitutes a contractual offer that We may, at Our sole discretion, accept. Our acceptance is indicated by Us sending you an email confirmation. Our email confirmation to you shall contain the following information:

  • confirmation of your membership  
  • confirmation of your chosen Subscription Fee plan
  • the duration of your membership (including the start date, billing cycle and your Subscription Fee renewal date).

 

Only once We have sent you an email confirmation will there be a legally binding contract for membership between Us and you. We will issue you with a digital membership card within 30 days. Your membership card belongs exclusively to you and is as personal as your signature. It’s non-transferable and should be enjoyed solely by you.

 

You’ll pay for your membership via a monthly or annual Subscription Fee, depending on the membership plan you have chosen. We will collect your payments each month or year in advance (as applicable) unless you cancel your membership (see the Cancelling Your Membership section below). Your membership will continue and automatically renew unless cancelled by you. You consent to Our charging your payment method on a recurring basis without requiring your prior approval for each recurring charge, until such time as you cancel your membership.

 

You can change your membership plan at any time, either by accessing the ‘My Membership’ settings in your Account or you can contact us at hello@thejj.club.

 

Annual memberships will automatically renew unless you tell us that you don’t want to continue your membership. We will contact you to remind you that your membership is due to renew, this reminder will usually be sent to you approximately five (5) weeks before your renewal date so that you have time to consider whether you want to end your membership before it renews. Please ensure that your contact details in your account are up to date. 

 

We may, from time to time, make changes to the Subscription Fee and will communicate any price changes to you in accordance with applicable law.

 

8. PAYMENT

We accept the following forms of payment for your Subscription Fee:

-  Visa

-  Mastercard

-  American Express

-  Direct Debit

 

Payment of your Subscription Fee must always be made in advance. Your chosen payment method will be charged when we process your order and send you a receipt (this usually occurs immediately, and you will be shown a message confirming your payment).

 

All payments shall be in British Pounds.

 

You agree to promptly update payment information, including email address, payment method, and payment card expiration date, so that We can complete your transactions and contact you as needed. If you do not make any payment due to Us on time, We may suspend or terminate access to your Account. If you do not make payment within 14 days of Our reminder, We may cancel your membership (see the Cancelling Your Membership section below). Any outstanding sums due to Us will remain due and payable.

9. CANCELLING YOUR MEMBERSHIP

By you:

 

If you are a consumer, you have an initial 14-day cancellation period in which to cancel your membership. The cancellation period begins once We have sent you an email confirming your membership and ends 14 calendar days after that. If you cancel within the cancellation period, you will be entitled to a full refund of your Subscription Fee.

 

After the cancellation period, you may cancel your membership at any time. However, except as set out above, We cannot offer any refunds for your Subscription Fee and you will continue to have access to your Account, Our Site and the Services for the remainder of your current paid term (up until the renewal or expiry date, as applicable), whereupon your membership will end.

 

You may otherwise cancel your membership at any time by either by accessing the ‘My Membership’ settings in your Account, or by sending us an email to hello@thejj.club

 

We may ask you why you have chosen to cancel and may use any answers you provide to improve Our Content and Services, however please note that you are under no obligation to provide any details if you do not wish to.

 

Once you have cancelled your Subscription Fee, your membership will end, and you will not be able to access Our Site or the Services.

 

By us:

 

We shall be entitled to cancel your membership by giving you written notice if your Subscription Fee (or any other amount incurred by you) is not paid within 14 days of us asking you to do so. If we cancel your membership, any monies owing (including your Subscription Fee for the remaining duration of your membership plan) shall immediately become payable by you.

 

Members are expected to maintain respectful and appropriate behaviour at all times. We reserve our rights, in our absolute discretion, to terminate your membership for any reason and at any time without notice if you fail to adhere to these Terms or any of Our policies. 

 

10. SERVICES

Our lovingly curated events and services may include:

  • access to member only events, workshops, experiences, courses, or services; and
  • the opportunity to purchase tickets, goods, products, or services, make bookings for events and obtain other perks or benefits.

 

These services are made available either by us, or for us by our carefully chosen preferred third party partners (‘Partners’). 

 

Purchasing from Us:

 

You can purchase any of the Services we offer by clicking on ‘Events & Connections’ in your Account. Our online booking system will show you the availability and pricing of a Service for the date and time you select. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have made your purchase and payment correctly. Please note that once you have completed your payment, it is non-refundable unless you cancel your purchase 24 hours or more in advance. 

 

Unused Services

 

If you do not attend the Service that you have purchased, and you do not notify us 24 hours or more in advance of your non-attendance, you shall not be entitled to a refund.

 

Changing your mind

 

You may change the date and time of your Service, so long as you do so 24 hours or more before the date and time of the Service you have purchased. Changes are subject to availability. 

 

Cancelling your event or service

 

You may cancel your Service at any time without charge so long as you do so 24 hours or more before the date and time of the Service. We regret that cancellations inside of 24 hours or less are not refundable. 

 

If we cancel your Service


If we cancel your Service, we will contact you by e-mail and offer you the choice of:

  • having the Service credited to your Account, or
  • being transferred to an alternative date and time.

 

 

Purchasing from our Partners:

 

If you make purchase a Service from our Partners, those Services will be subject to our Partners’ terms of sale. While we have chosen our Partners carefully, we cannot be held responsible for any Services you purchase from our Partners, or for any after sale services, refunds, ticket charges, changes to your service, cancellations or for our Partners’ websites.

 

We do our best to ensure that the information we receive or source about the Services from our carefully chosen Partners is accurate and up to date. We cannot guarantee that this information will always be accurate or that the Services will be as described, available or of any specific quality and we make no representations or warranties as to the completeness, accuracy, adequacy, currency or reliability of our Partners, their networks, advertisers and affiliates content.

 

We require our Partners to comply with data protection legislation. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.

 

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of Our obligations or that of Our Partners under this Agreement that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (‘Force Majeure Event’). Such events include, but are not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, civil commotion, industrial disputes, natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, governmental actions, or any other event that is beyond Our reasonable control.

 

In the event of a Force Majeure Event, We shall use reasonable endeavours to mitigate the impact of the delay or failure and resume performance of its obligations as soon as reasonably possible. If the Force Majeure Event continues for a period exceeding 7 days, either you or Us may terminate this Agreement by providing written notice to the other.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

With the exception of User Contributions (see below), all Content included on Our Site and the copyright and other intellectual property rights subsisting in that Content, unless specifically labelled otherwise, belongs to or has been licensed by Us.  All Content (including User Contributions) is protected by applicable United Kingdom and international intellectual property laws and treaties. All such rights are reserved.

 

Other than as set out in these Terms, you may not reproduce, copy, distribute, sell, rent, sub-licence, store, or in any other manner re-use Content from Our Site unless we give you express prior written permission to do so.

 

You may:

  • access, view, and use Our Site
  • download Our Site (or any part of it) for caching
  • print page(s) from Our Site
  • download extracts from pages on Our Site
  • save pages from Our Site for later and/or offline viewing
  • use any Content saved or downloaded from Our Site for commercial purposes without first obtaining a licence from Us (or our licensors, as appropriate) to do so
  • systematically copy, save, or download Content (including User Contributions) from Our Site to create or compile any form of comprehensive collection, compilation, directory, or database without Our express written permission (or the permission of the relevant User)

 

If you wish to make any use of the Services, Content, or Intellectual Property Rights other than as set out in this section or elsewhere in our Terms, please address your request to: hello@thejj.club.  Our status as the owner and author of the Content on Our Site (or that of identified licensors, as appropriate) must always be acknowledged.

A breach any of these Intellectual Property Rights will constitute a material breach of our Terms and your right to use Our Services will terminate immediately.

 

12. USER CONTRIBUTIONS

Our Site does not offer Users to submit or post Content. We may, however, provide you with the opportunity to create, submit, post, display, transmit, perform, publish, distribute, or broadcast Content and materials to us or on our Site, including but not limited to text, writings, video, audio, photographs, graphics, comments, suggestions, or personal information or other material (collectively, ‘User Contributions’).

 

An Account is required if you wish to submit User Contributions. Please refer to section 6 Accounts above for more information.

 

You agree that you will be solely responsible for your User Contributions. Specifically, you agree, represent and warrant that you have the right to submit User Contributions and that all such User Contributions will comply with Our Acceptable Use & Behaviour Policy.

 

You agree that you will be liable to Us and will, to the fullest extent permissible by law, indemnify Us for any breach of the warranties given by you immediately above. You will be responsible for any loss or damage suffered by Us as a result of such breach.

 

You (or your licensors, as appropriate) retain ownership of your User Contributions and all intellectual property rights subsisting therein. When you submit a User Contribution, you grant Us an unconditional, non-exclusive, fully transferrable, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide licence to use, store, archive, syndicate, publish, transmit, adapt, edit, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works from, display, perform and sub-licence your User Contributions for the purposes of operating and promoting Our Site. In addition, you also grant Other Users the right to copy and quote your User Contributions within Our Site. You agree that We are entitled to unrestricted use of your user Contributions as well as dissemination for any lawful purpose, commercial or otherwise, without acknowledgment or compensation to you.

 

If you wish to remove any User Contribution from Our Site, the User Contribution in question will be anonymised by removing your username. Please note, however, that caching or references to your User Contribution may not be made immediately unavailable (or may not be made unavailable at all where they are outside of Our reasonable control).

 

We may reject, reclassify, or remove any User Contribution from Our Site where, in Our sole opinion, it violates Our Acceptable Use & Behaviour Policy or If We receive a complaint from a third party and determine that the User Contribution in question should be removed as a result.

You may not link to any page other than the homepage of Our Site, http://www.thejj.club. Deep-linking to other pages requires Our express prior written permission.

You may not link to Our Site from another website the main content of which does not comply with the content standards set out in Our Acceptable Use & Behaviour Policy. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice.

Links to other sites and third-party content may be included on Our Site. Unless expressly stated, these sites and third-party content are not under Our control. 15. ADVERTISING

We may from time-to-time feature advertising on Our Site. We simply provide the space to place such advertisements, and we have no other relationship with advertisers. We are not responsible for the content of any advertising on Our Site including, but not limited to any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in such advertising. Each advertiser is responsible for the content of their own advertising material. 

 

16. DISCLAIMERS

Nothing on Our Site constitutes advice on which you should rely. It is provided for general information purposes only. Professional or specialist advice should always be sought before taking any action on the basis of any information provided on Our Site.

 

Where we offer Services through Our Partners, We act as an intermediary in providing such access to third-party services and offers as part of Our membership perks. We make no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the quality, availability, suitability, or performance of the Services provided by Our Partners.

 

We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of, or inability to use, any Services provided by the Partners. All transactions, arrangements, and disputes regarding the Services provided by the Partners are solely between you and the relevant Partner. We disclaim any responsibility or liability for any acts, errors, omissions, representations, warranties, breaches, or negligence of any Partner.

 

We make no representation, warranty, or guarantee that Our Site will meet your requirements, that it will not infringe the rights of third parties, that it will be compatible with all software and hardware, or that it will be secure. If, as a result of Our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill, any Content from Our Site damages your device or other content belonging to you, you may be entitled to certain legal remedies.  For more details concerning your rights and remedies as a consumer, please contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Office.

  • We accept no liability to any User for any loss of damage, whether foreseeable or otherwise in contract, tort (including negligence), for breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with the use of (or inability to use) the Services offered on Our Site or the use, or reliance upon any of our Partners and their actions or inactions, whether directly or indirectly connected to Our Site and Us.

18. VIRUSES, MALWARE AND SECURITY

We exercise all reasonable skill and care to ensure that Our Site is secure and free from viruses and other malware, but We do not guarantee that Our Site will be secure or free from viruses and other malware.

 

You are responsible for protecting your hardware, software, data and other material from viruses, malware, and other internet security risks.

Any and all such breaches may be a criminal offence, and We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Our Site and / or your membership if you materially breach any provisions of Our Acceptable Use & Behaviour Policy or any other part of these Terms. We hereby exclude any and all liability arising out of any actions that We may take in response to breaches of these Terms.

 

20. PRIVACY AND COOKIES

Use of Our Site is also governed by Our Cookie & Privacy Policy. We will only use your personal information as set out in Our Privacy Policy. These policies are incorporated into these Terms by this reference.

 

21. COMMUNICATIONS FROM US

If We have your contact details (if, for example, you have applied for membership and/or have an Account) We may from time to time send you messages via SMS or send you notices via email. Such notices may relate to matters including, but not limited to, service changes, changes to these Terms, changes to our other policies and changes to your Account.

 

Email

 

We will never send you marketing emails of any kind without your express consent. If you do give such consent, you may opt out at any time. Any and all marketing emails sent by Us include an unsubscribe link. If you opt out of receiving emails from us at any time, it may take up to 14 business days for Us to comply with your request.  During that time, you may continue to receive emails from Us.

 

SMS

 

Please be aware that message and data rates may apply to any SMS messages sent or received. The rates are determined by your carrier and the specifics of your mobile plan. If at any time you wish to stop receiving SMS messages from us, simply reply to the text with “STOP.” You may receive an SMS message confirming your opt out.

22. FEEDBACK

In doing so, you grant to us a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, fully-paid, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license under any and all intellectual property rights that you own or control to use, copy, modify, create derivative works based upon and otherwise exploit your feedback for any purpose. 

 

23. LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms, and the relationship between you and Us shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England & Wales.

 

If you are a consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law in your country of residence. Nothing in the paragraph above takes away or reduces your rights as a consumer to rely on those provisions. If you are a consumer, any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claim between you and Us relating to these Terms and Conditions, or the relationship between you and Us (whether contractual or otherwise) shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England, Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland, as determined by your residency. 

 

If you are a business, any disputes concerning these Terms, the relationship between you and Us, or any matters arising therefrom or associated therewith (whether contractual or otherwise) shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
